We’ll host a reception at the Bay County Historical Museum,
where we’ll unveil an exhibit about the Rotary Club of Bay City and
distribute copies of the Centennial Celebration history book.
The exhibit can feature some of our archives, flags, history,
photos of our founding members, our Rotary wheel and some
video interviews with current and past members.
The goal is to educate the public about Rotary. Organizers
are working to include an iron lung as part of the exhibit.
The exhibit continues outside the museum with a historic Rotary
walking tour throughout downtown Bay City.
Smaller displays are to be placed in storefronts — United Way of Bay County,
Herman Hiss & Co., The Bay City Times, Do-All Cat’s Meow and
Wirt Public Library (where we also could make a donation of
Rotary-related books and offer them for checkout).
Rowley’s on the West Side also will have a display.
We’d make a tour-stop card that could be handed out
so people can find each location and we’d put posters up around town announcing the exhibit.
