Another calendar year is coming to a close and we are half way through our Rotary year. This Tuesday's program, Tara our President reviewed our accomplishments.
Our World Polio Day raised $5,302!! Beating our goal of $3,520. That day we had our purple pinkie booth and hosted our first Spin-A-Thon with the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA. What a great way to educate our community on the efforts for polio.
During Tall Ships of 2019 our club had 25 volunteers that greeted the sponsorship tent. We completed 94 hours of service during the festival.
We hosted our first picnic social with 37 Rotarians and their families joining us.
Community grants announced their selections focusing on Youth & Education. We were able to donate to: The Bay County Humane Society ($1,000), All Saints ($1,500), Team Paws ($1,000), The CAN Council ($745) and The City of Bay City's Recycling Program ($1,500).
Vocational Days paired over 100 students with Rotarians from both our club and the Morning Club.
Then finally in November we celebrated the Family of Rotary and are looking forward to the next generations to join us.
