"It's not all about you. You want to give back in some way and I've already gotten so much
there's nothing else I really need. I have family, I have love and I can give everything else
away." -Dalia Boyle, Paul Harris Fellow
Happy Rotary Foundation Month, Rotarians!
Better late than never? Apologies for the delayed Breezes this month - November has definitely flown by in a flash. We will be meeting this upcoming Tuesday,November 26th, at Old City Hall for our last meeting of November. We will hear from Jonathan Garvey from the Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency. We will also be inducting our first new member of this Rotary year, Rebecca Emory!
Many Rotarians attended the Rotary Foundation Gala in Frankenmuth where our club received recognition for all of our contributions during the previous Rotary year. We received recognition for $100 giving per capita to the Annual Fund. These donations are extremely impactful to our District as 50% of these funds will be available for district grants in 3 years. Our club also received recognition for our contributions to End Polio Now and for being a Polio Eradicator Club. Well done Rotarians!
Looking ahead to December - we will not be meeting on December 24th and December 31st. This makes for fewer opportunities to meet but wouldn't it be great to have a full house for the remainder of the meetings? If the Lions can be 10-1, we can fill up a Rotary meeting, right?
And lastly, a friendly reminder, if you are not able to fulfill your lunch volunteer obligations, please let President Hutter or Carrie know in advance. Thank you to Bonnie Marsh for filling in for 50/50 last week.
