The Rotary Club of
Bay City

Welcome to March!
Hello Fellow Rotarians,

We've had a lot of fun this past month with Mystery Rotarians, badge switch up, and some great programs. I'm so glad you are a part of our club and that I'm getting to know everyone better this year.

With March upon us, I encourage you to donate to the Rotary Annual Fund. With this fund you can give SHARE, and that means 50% of those funds will come back to our district for grants that we could apply for. The other 50% supports everything that Rotary is about. Our six areas of focus are; peace building, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education and growing local economies. Areas that I know all of us are passionate about. My goal is for every Rotarian to give something to the annual fund. Whether that be $10 or $500. Our club has the chance to make a difference globally and within our district with grant dollars.

March is going to be another fun month! Please see the programs below and make sure to mark the location. We do have one off site meeting this month.

  • March 3rd OFFSITE at the Marriott. Program is the Bangor Township update with Glenn Rowley.
  • March 4th EUCHRE Tournament. Rotarians please sign up to play today! We need your support to make this event a success. This will be held at Lumber Barons.
  • March 10th - Monthly Board Meeting
  • March 10th - Kidstown Discovery Center update by Carrie Butler
  • March 17th - Combined meeting with the Noon Optimist Club. We will need to collect RSVPs for this event, we will be asking at earlier meetings.
  • March 24th - Big Brothers Big Sisters by Rachael Sprunger
  • March 31st - 10 Minute Rotarians

I will be doing another mystery rotarian on Tuesday. I encourage you to sit by someone new and get to know them and their profession!

Have a great weekend and I will see you in March.

-Tara Welch, Club President
